Leadership & Recognition
Here is a quick take on some of the Johnson School's top alumni leaders, beginning with the family and the gift that gave the school its name:
- The Johnson Family Legacy—from its first major endowment, to its active involvement today, the Johnson family remains a vibrant part of the school that bears its name.
- Advisory Council—engaged body of alumni, friends, and school leadership that provides guidance, financial support, and assistance to promote the objectives and strategic goals of the school.
- Hall of Honor—the highest form of recognition the dean can confer, on behalf of the Johnson School community.
- Dean's Leadership Committee—alumni volunteering their time to engage their fellow graduates on behalf of the Annual Fund.
- Johnson School Alumni Recognition Awards—these recognition awards honor outstanding alumni that make the Johnson School's events and activities world-class, including regional clubs, reunions, Advisory Council, recruitment of students, teaching/mentoring of students, and placement of students. We depend on alumni to help in these and many other areas of alumni affairs.
- Wilbur Parker Distinguished Alumni Award— This recognition award was created by the Black Graduate Business Association in honor of its first recipient, Wilbur Parker '50, MBA '50, the school's first African American graduate. The award recognizes alumni who demonstrate outstanding professional achievement and commitment to their community.
- Board of Alumni Leaders—a committed group of alumni leaders dedicated to fostering a close connection between the Johnson School and its alumni. Members are responsible for strengthening the class officer and regional clubs programs and serving as a collective voice for our alumni.
