Course Planning
2nd year concentrations
Breadth Concentrations
Breadth concentrations are designed to provide breadth in a student's curriculum.
A breadth concentration must contain at least a minimum of 3 courses AND 6 credits.
Depth Concentrations
Depth concentrations are designed to provide a student the opportunity to gain depth and tangible skills in a particular functional area.
A depth concentration is a minimum of 3 courses AND 9 credits.
For Both Breadth and Depth Concentrations:
- No more than 3 credits from an Immersion can count towards a concentration.
- Students should consider taking one breadth concentration and one depth concentration (total of 15 credits or 1/2 of their second year curriculum).
- Most concentrations will have one or more 'Foundation' courses that are required and built on with more specialized electives.
