The Johnson School Difference

Performance Learning Approach

Our Performance Learning approach offers results-driven learning experiences that apply frameworks, many based on Johnson School research, to real business situations, and provide continuous expert feedback.

Immersion Learning
Prior to the start of the second semester, immersion learning offers an integrated and experiential approach to solving business problems under intense time pressure. By providing focused, hands-on learning experiences, our students arrive to their internships better prepared to make an immediate impact.

The Parker Center for Investment Research
The Parker Center produces research that consistently influences the investment strategies of leading asset-management firms. The Center's extraordinary research environment, combined with a multimillion-dollar technology platform, provides unique learning opportunities for Johnson School MBAs, including a student-run investment fund (the Cayuga MBA Fund).

Entrepreneurship Triad
The Johnson School's entrepreneurship portfolio includes a student-run venture capital fund and consulting arm, as well as affordable legal counsel from Cornell Law School students.

Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise
The Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise offers several courses that require students to serve as consultants for national and international organizations. Students have advised on eco-tourism ventures in Senegal, performed Base of the Pyramid (BOP) Market Feasibility Studies, and created sustainable venture business plans.

Park Leadership Fellows
The Park Leadership Fellows program attracts the highest caliber MBA talent to the Johnson School, and rewards demonstrated leadership potential with a full tuition scholarship and stipend for both years. Fellows participate in a two-year leadership curriculum and make a significant public service contribution to the Johnson School, the university, or the surrounding community through a Service Leadership Project.

Students also manage major events like a speaker series, the Business Idea Competition, and the Stock Pitch Event, which help them showcase their leadership, planning, and organizational skills and make connections with alumni and corporations.
