Recruiting Checklist
- Learn about the Johnson School Difference. If you would like more information about our students and programs contact Kim Alexander, Associate Director for Employer Outreach. (link).
- Decide whether to recruit on- or off-campus. While on-campus recruiting will expose your company to a wide range of students in an efficient, conducive setting, we also provide multiple opportunities to recruit our students without coming to Ithaca.
- Check the Academic & Recruiting Calendar. Once you have decided on your preferred recruiting dates we can begin discussing the best series of events for your needs. Please bear in mind that available dates are subject to change.
- Contact your Corporate Account Manager to get started. Our corporate account managers will get your contact information and provide you with a User ID and Log-in to our Corporate Interface. Susan Mix (607-255-5917 or sm292@cornell.edu) will assist employers in Investment Banking, Consulting and Finance. Holly Potter (607-255-4768 or hcp2@cornell.edu) will assist employers in Marketing, Technology, Operations and Healthcare. Either corporate account manager can assist you if you aren't sure where to start.
- Plan your pre-recruitment events. You can connect with students through a variety of options, ranging from corporate briefings to participation in a classroom opportunity or club event. Log onto the Recruiter Interface to initiate your request for a corporate briefing. Contact your corporate account manager for information on the other options.
- Complete the online registration form. Log onto the Recruiter Interface to initiate your request for a corporate briefing or schedule interview dates.
- Confirm requested dates and schedules. Log on to the Recruiter Interface, or contact your corporate account manager.
- Post your job description. You should post your job descriptions as possible after scheduling your visit. You can also solicit resumes through an off-campus job posting or a resume drop at this same link.
- Promote your event. Presenting companies may send one poster or an e-mail message to our corporate account manager advertising the program. You can also look into advertising in Cornell Business Journal, a student-run newspaper for Johnson School students.
- Enter your closed list on the Recruiter Interface as per the On-Campus Recruiting Calendar.
- Review your schedule and resumes.
- Review our Visit Checklist for tips on how to ensure a successful on-campus visit.
